Statement of Purpose
Clarence Valley Baptist Bible College has been established for the purpose of training men and women in the Word Of God.
Our primary purpose is “The equipping of men for the gospel ministry” and assisting local churches in the preparation of ‘CHRISTIAN WORKERS’ for effective service.
College History
God has assembled one of the finest teams anywhere at CVBBC. Every member of the faculty and staff is actively involved in a variety of ministries at Local Churched. Students will soon realise that faculty and staff are a constant presence on campus and are always available to mentor them in their academic, social or spiritual lives.
As a Pastor the Lord laid upon my heart a desire to train men and women for the ministry not long after I arrived in Grafton. This burden led to the establishment of Clarence Valley Baptist Bible College in 1991. The college was established with express purpose and goal of equipping believers for a life of God glorifying service and dedication to the Lord. II Timothy 2.2 spells out our vision “And the things that thou hast heard of me among many witnesses, the same commit thou to faithful men, who shall be able to teach others also.”
It is my belief and that of our church that the task of preparing men and women who have recognised God’s call on their lives is our God given responsibility as a Church and therefore as a college. Therefore by His grace this college is dedicated to effectively preparing pastors, teachers and Christian workers for the ministry.
Our college is an important part of the ministry of the CLARENCE VALLEY INDEPENDENT BAPTIST CHURCH. The college would not exist if the church did not share my burden and conviction to train God’s servants and equip them for that service.
The prospectus contains basic information with regard to your understanding of the course requirements, emphasis, doctrinal position and financial requirements of this college. Each year a student handbook is printed to supplement this prospectus to give prospective students all they need to know with regard to courses of study being offered that year and other needful information.
It is our desire that all who attend will have their lives enriched by their time with us and that they in turn will enrich the lives of those that they minister to.
